Brenda Harte RIP

It is with great sadness we share the heartbreaking news that we lost one of our own, Brenda Harte.

As many of you know, Brenda was a Tara Lady from the start when the club was first formed in 1978. Down through the years she was a player, winning the senior championship in 1987, and was the treasurer for many years. Naturally Brenda became heavily involved in the youth sharing her experience and passing on her love of Gaelic football and Tara GFC to the next generation. You would often see Brenda on the sideline with her Tara braid and flag in hand.

Brenda was a devoted wife and mother and was so proud of her family. The Hartes are a household name in the Tara club. Her husband, Joe, and their children Kieran, Sinead, Conor, and Aidan all played with Tara.

Brenda, Tara Life President, loved being a Tara Lady and loved her Tara family, you would always find her on the dance floor at any Tara event.

Brenda will be unbelievably missed by us all and the Tara Ladies, Tara Men and Tara Youth send their love and prayers to the Harte family.

We would like to offer our condolences to Brenda’s husband Joe, sons Kieran, Conor and Aidan, daughter Sinead, daughters-in-law Jemma, Trisha and Caragh, son in law David, and all the Harte and Smyth families and extended family & friends.

May Brenda’s gentle soul rest in peace.
